DESCRIPTION:The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War\, Department of Nebraska\, Shiloh Camp No. 2 will conduct a ceremony honoring Adam Rexroad\, the Last Union Civil War Soldier buried in Hall County\, Nebraska. The ceremony will be held at Grand Island Cemetery\, Grand Island\, Nebraska. \nAdam Rexroad was a Private in Co. A\, 34th Illinois Infantry and died November 13\, 1942 at the age of 93. He was also a member of the Grand Army of the Republic\, Old Guard Post 7 in Omaha. \nDirections: View Google coordinates. \nThe Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War\, Dept. of Nebraska have started the final phase in our Last Soldier Project. The purpose of the project is to locate and appropriately mark the final resting place of the last Union Civil War Soldier buried in each county in the state of Nebraska. We are marking the graves of these veterans with a bronze star marker and QR code medallion. The full list of veterans can be viewed here. \n

B\, 18th Wisconsin Infantry and died November 29\, 1937 at the age of 91.
