SUMMARY:2025 Dept. of Nebraska Annual Encampment
DESCRIPTION:The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War\, Department of Nebraska & the Dakotas will hold its 25th Annual Department Encampment at the Fremont City Auditorium in Fremont\, Nebraska. The encampment is hosted by Welstead Camp #3 of Fremont. A memorial service will begin at 9:15 am with the business meeting beginning directly after. A virtual meeting session will be available for remote members. \nThe public is invited to our afternoon session starting at 1:45 p.m. There will be an awards presentation followed by speaker and fellow SUVCW Brother David Wells presenting “April 1865: Was it Really the End of the War?” \nFollowing the presentation will be a Civil War and Historical Used Book Sale\, the proceeds going to the SUVCW Dept of Nebraska and the First Nebraska Volunteer Infantry.
