2022 Dept. of Nebraska Annual Encampment

The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Department of Nebraska will hold its 2022 Department Encampment at the Saunders County Historical Museum in Wahoo, Nebraska. The encampment is hosted by Vifquain Camp #1 of Omaha. The memorial service will begin at 9:30 am with the business meeting beginning directly after. This year’s Department Encampment features a visit from SUVCW Past National Commander-in-Chief Brian Pierson of Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Descendants and history buffs are invited to a free presentation at 2 p.m. at the Saunders County Historical Society Museum at 240 North Walnut St. Historian David Wells will present “From Gettysburg to Omaha.”
