Last Soldier – Pawnee Co. Dedication
The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Department of Nebraska, Vifquain Camp No. 1 and Shiloh Camp No. 2 will conduct a ceremony honoring John Lehman, the Last Union Civil War Soldier buried in Pawnee County, Nebraska. The ceremony will be held at Table Rock Cemetery, in Table Rock.
John H. Lehman was a Private in Co. F, 118th Illinois Infantry and died September 15, 1945 at the age of 95.
Directions: Lehman’s grave is located in the northwest quarter of the cemetery, near the north cemetery road. View Google coordinates.

The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Dept. of Nebraska have started the final phase in our Last Soldier Project. The purpose of the project is to locate and appropriately mark the final resting place of the last Union Civil War Soldier buried in each county in the state of Nebraska.
