Last Union Veteran Hamilton County Dedication
The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Department of Nebraska, will conduct a ceremony honoring Clinton B. Condon, the Last Union Civil War Soldier buried in Hamilton County, Nebraska. The ceremony will be held at Hampton Cemetery, Hampton, Nebraska.
Clinton B. Condon was a Private in Co. B, 18th Wisconsin Infantry and died November 29, 1937 at the age of 91. He was also a member of the Grand Army of the Republic, Chandler Post 44 in Aurora, and Hurlburt Post 93 in Hampton.

The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Dept. of Nebraska have started the final phase in our Last Soldier Project. The purpose of the project is to locate and appropriately mark the final resting place of the last Union Civil War Soldier buried in each county in the state of Nebraska. We are marking the graves of these veterans with a bronze star marker and QR code medallion. The full list of veterans can be viewed here.
