2025 Dept. of Nebraska Annual Encampment

The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Department of Nebraska & the Dakotas will hold its 25th Annual Department Encampment at the Fremont City Auditorium in Fremont, Nebraska. The encampment is hosted by Welstead Camp #3 of Fremont. A memorial service will begin at 9:15 am with the business meeting beginning directly after. A virtual meeting session will be available for remote members.

The public is invited to our afternoon session starting at 1:45 p.m. There will be an awards presentation followed by speaker and fellow SUVCW Brother David Wells presenting “April 1865: Was it Really the End of the War?”

Following the presentation will be a Civil War and Historical Used Book Sale, the proceeds going to the SUVCW Dept of Nebraska and the First Nebraska Volunteer Infantry.
